After discovering all the trends that will accompany us during this season (click HERE to read the post) now it’s time to get more specific and look at the fall/winter 2018-2019 shoes trends that will allow us to walk with style along the streets of our cities.
The shoes, in fact, as well as the bags (which I will talk about soon) say a lot about our personality and often allow us to immediately understand our favorite style. Just think about a basic look like t-shirt and jeans: the woman who loves sporty looks will probably choose a pair of sneakers, the most romantic one will opt for a pair of loafers and the one that prefers a casual style will match a pair of ankle boots with medium-low heel.
FALL/WINTER SHOES TRENDS 2018-2019
Now let’s analyze in detail which are the most glamour shoes of the moment that we can not absolutely miss!
Among the best fall/winter 2018-2019 shoes trends are the following models:
As you already know, the far west style is a must-have for this season and for this reason the shoes have also been converted to this trend. Whether they are total black, with animalier or studded details, the western boots must be absolutely present in our closet! They are comfortable, practical and suitable for many occasions from the office if combined with a midi skirt and an oversized sweater, to an aperitif with friends wearing a pair of jeans and a leather jacket.
Wearing a pair of white shoes in winter? “Oh no!” many of you could exclaim. But now you have to do it because the catwalks have finally cleared this trend by putting it among the fall/winter 2018-2019 shoes trends. White, ivory and creamy shoes are no longer relegated only to the summer season and they can be worn with extreme care (be careful not to dirty them) even on winter!
They are called in this way in memory of the ugly and massive sneakers worn by our dads between the ’80s and’ 90s. The dad shoes are definitely not the most feminine shoes on the earth, but they are designed for a multitasking and dynamic woman who, in addition to fashion, must also think about comfort. Balenciaga, Gucci and Louis Vuitton are the maisons that have anticipated the trend that immediately made all the millennials crazy.
The mini or micro heels that do not exceed 5cm are are fun, ironic and easy to wear. They can give a romantic or gritty accent to the look: the mini stiletto heel will be definitely more elegant than a micro cone heel that is much more rock. Take a little seriously and have fun with slingback, ankle boots or maxi cuissardes with kitten heels!
The heels, from a sensual and feminine element, now become a surprising sculpture. From the flaming wedges made by Prada, we get to plexiglass heels that remind the stems of crystal glasses and to geometric and bizarre shapes that make the foot seems floating in the air. The sculpture heel is a risky choice and above all it is difficult to match with everyday looks: opt for a checked blazer and a pair of jeans to play down the importance of your shoes!
The sock boots remain in pole position among the shoes trends also during this season. Made of super stretchy fabrics, the sock boots are a perfect compromise between comfort and elegance, making the ankle appear slimmer. Walking with these boots, declined in ankle boots or cuissardes, you can (almost) feel at home.
In line with the trends that will blossom during the next spring season, the shoes are now made with pvc details. The plastic, transparent or colorful, covers sandals and boots showing off multicolor socks or a perfect pedicure. The PVC shoes will be the perfect partner for the autumn rainy days and will allow you to wander around the city without risking to dirty them.
SQUARE TOE SHOES
Heritage of the magnificent sixties, the square toe shoes are back in vogue for this season. This is an unusual shape that we don’t see since the ’90s. You will madly love them or hate them more than ever. Surely the square toe shoes are not ideal to lengthen the silhouette and taper the legs, but their return made many fashion victims loose their head!
Now that you finally know all the fall/winter 2018-2019 shoes trends, you just have to choose your favorite models. Let me know in the comments which is the one you mostly like!
